Team Reid was started in 2008 in an effort to memorialize Reid Brian Thompson (1996-2007) by raising funds for Autism research. Reid was a talented, handsome, intelligent young man who was diagnosed with Autism at a young age. While the cause of Reid’s death is unknown, Team Reid works to support meaningful research in the Autism field.
Through the inspirational work of his family, Reid is now helping scientists discover the causes of this neurological disability at the Autism Tissue Program (www.brainbank.org). Friends, family members, and loved ones first convened as Team Reid at the Walk Now for Autism in Pasadena, CA in 2008, and have since participated in walks, marathons, half marathons, 5Ks, and 10Ks. Team Reid was a founding team with Train 4 Autism, and is excited to support Operation Jack in this exciting venture.
